All students in Algebraic Thinking 2 must have a 1.5 inch 3-ring binder.  This binder will have 5 sections.

• Front:   Pencil pouch with required supplies.
• Section 1: Forms and unit organizers - In this section keep classroom expectations, these guidelines, procedures, and unit organizers.
• Section 2: Warm-ups - This is where you will start class each day.  Clearly date each entry and show your work on each problem. Separate each day of warm-ups with a horizontal line.
• Section 3: Journal / Investigations / Notes - Notes will be from our in-class work.  You may use them as a reference as you complete assignments and prepare for assessments.
• Section 4: Homework / ACE - Each assignment should be clearly identified with your name, date, and assignment title.
• Section 5: Assessments - This section will be used to keep tests and quizzes.
• After Section 5: Extra paper and graph paper.
• Back: Your actual textbook will be stored here.

The notebook will be checked during the Warm-Up.  The teacher may ask to see your homework, your warm-ups, your in-class investigations, or any part of your notebook at any time.  This will be part of your homework grade.
