Launch
Microsoft Word.

Type your
story. (at least 5 paragraphs, please) Your story can be about anything. Just no
violence or sexual situations. Click here
for an example. Please put your name somewhere on the page so I know it’s
yours.

After
typing your story, please spell-check it. (Tools menu)

When
you’re ready to insert your graphics you should first review the information
on graphics. The best way to find out about inserting graphics is to go to the
“Help” menu and select “Microsoft Word Help.”
The Windows Help Assistant will appear with a window in which you can
type your questions. Try these questions:
a. How do I insert a picture?
b.
How do I wrap text around a picture?
Now,
you may be wondering how you’re to be graded on this assignment. You will
need.
1. At least five paragraphs with at least three complete sentences in each paragraph. (11 points for each paragraph, 55 points overall)
2. You will need to use correct grammar and spelling. (2 points taken off for each error – you should enjoy the 2 points now – later the penalty is 5 points per error)
3. One graphic will need to be placed on the left side of your page utilizing text wrapping. (10 points)
4. One graphic will need to be placed on the right side of your page utilizing text wrapping. (10 points)
5. One graphic will need to be placed in the middle of the page utilizing text wrapping. (10 points)
6. The other two graphics can be placed anywhere you wish provided they’re on the page. (20 points)
7. The graphics need to be appropriate for your story. (you might want to look at the graphics available first to help you decide what your story will be about) In addition, the graphics must fit within the margins of your story and the three graphics mentioned above (numbers 3-5) must utilize the text wrapping feature. (25 points)
8. Make your story interesting. If it’s too boring, I won’t read it and you’ll receive a poor grade. This might be a good assignment that could be used in another class (hint-hint). (20 points)
