Welcome to Mr. Power's Algebra/Geom. 1 Website

        Welcome to Core 1!  We have adopted a new curriculum.  It is very different from past years materials.  I am extremely optimistic that this curriculum will help me teach my students the Algebra and Geometry concepts, problem solving and communication skills needed for the WASL and future math courses.  We will be using cooperative learning when we do investigations.  During these investigations, students will question, discover and wrestle with many concepts.  There will be group and entire class discussions.  I will try to make sure all students understand concepts during check points and debriefing times.  There will be homework each night.  It is important to show work, attempt all problems and answers questions with complete sentences.
